Missing in Venice

Once upon a time there lived a girl named Ria. Ria was seven years old and lived in France with her parents. One day she decided to go to Venice to see her friend, Robin. Ria and Robin have been friends since they were babies. Ria went to Venice on a train the next week. When she arrived, Robin was waiting for her at the station.

In Venice , they have four hundred bridges that span over the water of the one hundred seventy-seven canals. There is a sea by Venice . The sea sometimes gets out of hand. Have you ever rode on a small boat before? Well in Venice there are small boats called “gondolas". It’s the most romantic way to see the city, the most romantic time to see Venice during the evening, and also the most romantic sight is the Grand Canal at night.

A gondola's length is thirty-six feet, five feet wide, one thousand three hundred fifty pounds, and costs about as much as a car. Gondoliers are people that are in the back of the gondola rowing and singing a song. Gondoliers normally wear a blue and white striped t-shirt, black or blue pants, and a hat that has a red string around it. There are eight kinds of wood to build gondolas.

Anyway, back to the story. As I said, Ria meet Robin at the station. After they said "Hi" and Robin welcoming Ria to Venice , they went to get the luggage. Then they went to Robin’s house to stay. Once they got there, they unpacked and then went to sleep. The next day they went to a park not too far from the house. It was pretty crowded there. After a while they went to a museum. The museum was inside a ship and the kind of museum was a boating museum. They saw and learned a lot of stuff there. Ria loved Venice already! They even got to ride in a gondola named Isabel for a little bit They soon went back to Robin’s house for dinner.

A couple days passed and Ria knew a lot about Venice . Ria asked Robin if she could maybe go to the bakery to get some bread and milk. Robin tested Ria a couple of times to make sure that she knew that to do. Robin gave Ria some money and then left the house to the bakery. Ria soon made it to the bakery. Ria bought some bread and milk. When she came to the road, she forgot where to go. She couldn’t remember to whether to go the right or left. Ria was deciding to go to the right, but went to the left.
